Kit Frank, OTR and Communications Coordinator, was featured in the Huffington Post regarding her work on adaptive equipment that she made for children at the Foundation’s clinic. The article also included some nice photos of our patients. Hooray, Kit! Here is the link to the article Huffington Post. You’ll have to scroll down a bit to see where she is featured.

On another front, in the U.S. we are getting ready for another trip back to the clinic. We are excited to bring a team from Re:Motion (Palo Alto, CA) who will be doing a site visit and also field test a prototype of their Jaipur prosthetic knee. We hope to do more collaborative work with them in the future. In Ecuador, we have heard that our prosthetic students are working on the internships at clinics in Quito. In the fall, we anticipate they will rotate back to the Prótesis Para la Vida for an Orthotics (bracing) class. –Jennifer Lee, CPO
